THE Sanctuary Beauty Academy in Tralee are delighted to announce two new part time courses starting this June.

These courses are perfect for those already in the beauty and skincare industry or for those who are wishing to commence their career in an industry that is exciting, ever expanding and ever changing.

The  Level 4 Advanced Skincare with microneedling & skin peels course will enhance the knowledge and expertise of therapists who are interested in non-medical aesthetic treatments.

The course content is in depth to enable the learner to further develop their skills either in a salon/clinic or as a self-employed therapist.

It will cover topics such as Principles and practices for non-medical aesthetic therapies, Infection control for aesthetic treatments, Advanced consultation and advanced skin analysis, In depth knowledge of the physiology of Ageing, Acne, Rosacea, Pigmentation, Sun Damage and conditions affecting all skin types, Micro needling treatments, Skin peeling treatments, Introduction to Photodynamic Therapy and Ultrasound for Skin Rejuvenation, Business awareness and business planning for self-employed practice.

The Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage is suited to those who are interested in complementary therapies for health and well being.

It will provide opportunities to those who wish to work in a spa, health, complementary health environment, or start their own business in the field of health and well being.

The course content covers a range of topics such as Anatomy & Physiology, Infection Control, Health & Safety, Client consultation and body diagnostics, Massage treatments including adapting to client’s individual needs.

This course also includes additional courses on massage Aromatherapy Massage  using pre-blended aromatherapy oils and Indian Head Massage.

The underpinning knowledge and tutor experience of Mary O’Donoghue, the college director,  is what makes these courses an exceptional benefit for therapists.

Mary has over 30  years experience in the Beauty Industry and is highly regarded in the profession both nationally and internationally.

The courses will commence on the 13th of June and run for  16 to 20 weeks, the courses will be delivered on site in the college in Tralee one day per week. (Mondays)    30% funding is available through Image Skillnet; terms and conditions do apply.
