Presentation Secondary is an all-girls school in the heart of Castleisland for the past 90 years. We are just 12 minutes from Tralee and 25 minutes from Killarney.

Our school’s cornerstone has always been academic excellence and that continues to be one of our top priorities.

The high standards we set for our students goes far beyond the classroom, with national success in basketball, enterprise, science, fashion, photography, internet safety and poetry to mention just a few.

We are currently the leading school in the country for enterprise and basketball, resulting in national media coverage, including appearances on the RTE Late Late Show and the Today Show in the past 12 months.

.

Our school has gone viral on social media with our school TikTok account. We are the most viral TikTok school in the country, with videos in excess of 3.6 million views across the globe. This is supported in our school with a team dedicated to social media.

We are a performing arts school, with annual talents shows, musicals and dramas, which take place in our sports hall, on our performing arts stage.

.

Our school has a vibrant and successful choir, which in recent times, has recorded and launched its own CD album, as well as singing for the Pope along the way!

Wellbeing is central to what we do daily. Our dedicated wellbeing co-ordinator and team run annual wellbeing weeks and sports days.

We also have a dedicated wellbeing room in our school. We have a wide variety of lunchtime and after school activities to suit all students’ interests.

We are leaders of innovation, as we are a STEM beacon school and students have the opportunity to study all science subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science and Computer Science. Our first year students are STEM role models and work with primary schools in the area, on STEM related projects.

.

At Presentation Castleisland, students experience a broader international culture, as we have a vibrant visiting student programme, annual foreign trips and the opportunity to study French, Spanish and Chinese.

Our school vision is that every student that leaves Presentation Castleisland, will be an accomplished, confident and independent young adult, who follows their passions, develops a love of learning and becomes a positive role model in society.

.

All of this added to our small class sizes, individual student supports, peer mentoring, after-school study and excellent canteen provide the best environment for our students to flourish.

We would be delighted to speak to anyone undecided about their daughter’s school for September.
