‘Spring Into Storytime’ To Entertain Children On Saturdays At Tralee Library

HERE’S a great idea to get kids reading this season. ‘Spring into Story-time’ is back on Saturdays this April at Tralee Library.

These events provide an ideal opportunity for children to take time to enjoy stories in their local library and experience reading as an activity which is fun, entertaining and encourages families to share this happy time together.

Kerry Library has a great selection of children’s books and these will be brought to life in interactive storytelling sessions full of wonder and excitement.

Each Saturday, at 11.30am during April, Tralee library will have a number of themed sessions including ‘Bears love Books’, this Saturday, ‘Hop like a Bunny’ (April 14), ‘Let’s go Quackers’ (April 21) and ‘Daring Dogs’ (April 28).

Spring into Story-time is one of the initiatives being delivered by Irish public libraries as part of the national Right to Read Programme.

It offers a range of children’s story-time events during April, in the 332 libraries throughout Ireland.

Dingle library will have some ‘Creative storytelling with Lego’ on Thursday, 6 April while on Thursdays, Killorglin library is hosting ‘Toddler Tales’ for 2-7 year olds.

Killarney Library will also be a hive of activity each Saturday in April from 10.30am with storytellers spinning tales for families to share.

Kenmare Library will be bringing stories to life each Wednesday at 11.00am while the libraries at Caherciveen, Castleisland, and Listowel all have fun story-time activities happening throughout the month.
