Ballybunion Wildcats 30

The home team were straight out of the traps after the Christmas break with Cian Harris impressing throughout and ending up top scorer with 12 points.

John O’Mahony and Dylan McHugh impressed in the first quarter providing the platform for the home side to lead 12 to 9. The home team dominated the second and third quarters with both Eoin Culloty and Luke Chester coming to the fore to leave the half time score 22 to 13. St. Brendan’s continued to dominate proceedings in the second half with Niall Fitzmaurice, Cian Devine, Michael Dowling, and Thomas Scally playing well.

The visitors were well served by both McElligott and O’Brien who both scored 12 points each of the Wildcats total. With Matthew Hussey, Matthew Browne and Jack Duggan also playing well the game finished with a deserved win for the home team on a final scoreline of 46-30.

GARVEY’S TRALEE WARRIORS

The Garvey’s Tralee Warriors continued their successful Superleague debut campaign with a 67-57 win over KUBS BC at a packed Tralee Sports Complex last Saturday night.

Next up for the Warriors is a visit to the National Basketball Arena for a meeting with SSE Airtricity Moycullen at 4.00pm on Saturday next.

The next big Superleague Saturday night game in Tralee is scheduled for Saturday 11th February when they host rivals Pyrobel Killester. Make a date for the diary and don’t miss out on what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
