Academy
The Park u9s and the Park u10s came together this Saturday to play a series of challenge matches against each other at Christy Leahy Park. Both groups fielded 3 teams and the boys and girls gave a fantastic account of themselves as the games were played out in a great spirit. The big crowd watching the matches certainly enjoyed some wonderful skills and terrific goals in each game.

All of the players went home happy especially with the Christmas treats that Mary & Aisling in the club shop had for them.

Thanks to all of the coaches for coming together to run a great morning of soccer and thanks to Brandon McMahon and Pa Laide for helping us out as extra help was definitely required.

We hope to train on Saturday morningDecember 30th , parents will be notified in advance, check out our Facebook page for updates.

On behalf of the u9 & u10 coaches Happy Christmas to all of our players and their families. Make sure the kids do some soccer practice over Christmas!!

Under 11(2007)
Well done to both teams for two great performances away to listowel celtic. Particlar mention goes to Jamie McCarthy and Eoin Faherty on putting in man of the match performances. Well done to all the U11A team and have a very merry Christms. Jerry, Randall & Dave

Our under 11 b squad hosted tralee dynamos at Christy Leahy park on Saturday in a very entertaining game which saw both sides give their all on a perfect day for soccer. Many chances were created and some solid defensive performances Made sure the game was tight right to the end. Highlight of the game was three worldly saves from man of the match Mark O’Connor.  Big thanks to dynamos players and coaches for a very enjoyable game of soccer.

Under 13(2005)
Our under thirteen A team travelled to Killorglin on Saturday. Having dominated the majority of the game and going ahead through Venis Jahiri in the first half we couldn’t get the second goal to kill the game off and we were punished in the last few mins when the hosts got a corner kick, we were only able to clear the ball to the edge of our box, and a  Killorglin player shot the ball which took a massive deflection over Richie Healy  into to our net. One all at the final whistle.

Our thirteen B team were at home to Mastergeeha. Steven Barrett with our goal which was enough to secure a one All draw to continue their unbeaten to five matches.

Under Fifteen (2003)
Our under fifteen A Team faced a tough away trip to Killarney Celtic in the fifteen Premier on Saturday. Despite trailing two-one as the game headed into the final stages David O’Callaghan stole a yard on the home defence to equalise. With Celtic looking like they would be happy with the draw at this stage, Cian Brosnan found the back of the net for the winner and get his second of the game. A great comeback by those young men. And victory means that the keep the pressure on at the top of the table!

Our under fifteen B team had a very good victory threw one victory over Windmill United. Goals from Adam Wharton and Mark Curtin getting two to keep up their fine form of late.

Youths (2000)

Our youth team played Killarney Celtic in the Munster Youth Cup Kerry Area Final in Mounthawk Park.

All pundits felt this final would be a tight encounter as both sides met a couple of weeks back in the FAI youth cup with the Tralee side claiming a narrow win out in Celtic Park.

Park ran out deserved winners in Mounthawk Park putting in a solid team performance with James Sheehan and Adam Ward controlling midfield , Parks Aaron Ward whipped in a great ball from the left wing that found the incoming Jordan Barry and his header rifled into top corner of the net with twenty three minutes gone.

Within ten minutes Conor O’Brien doubled Parks lead winning the ball from a loose clearance and he coolly lobbed the advancing Celtic keeper and five minutes later Conor again tried to lob the keeper only to see his effort drift wide of the post ,at the break Park with a two goal lead.

Celtic started the second half brightly and with only three minutes gone pounced on defensive mistake from Park to score at the near post and now game on.

Park management reacted by withdrawing their right back and bringing in attacking midfielder John Carmody and this change saw Park take total control of the game.
Park claimed back their two goal advantage on the hour with good work down the right from JR Tshikato and Conor O’Brien picking out Jordan Barry to score his second from close range and it was John Carmody scoring the fourth and insuring the win for the Park.Jordan Barry had some excellent chances to score his hat-trick but was not clinical enough.
