Seniors:

St. Pat’s defeated Na Gaeil 2-13 to 0-7 in The St. Brendan’s League on Sunday last

Minors:

St Pats Blennerville 2-9 John Mitchels 1-12

We picked up our first point in the Tralee Town Board League on Saturday last when we drew with John Mitchels in a very entertaining Round 3 game at Blennerville.

We trailed by two points [1-4 to 1-6] at the interval, with our goal coming from Josh Laucher.

Another score by us to catch the eye in the first half, was a brilliant point by Brandon Boyle when he kicked a 45m free from way out on the wing.

Josh doubled his goal tally, eight minutes from full time, at the end of a passing movement which began with  double point blank saves by Aidan O`Halloran and Brian Murphy in turn, at the other end of the pitch.

This goal put us one point in front, a lead which we kept until the dying seconds, when the visitors equalised from a free to level the match.

As in the previous two games, we put in a strong all round team performance but special mention must go to the likes of Aidan who had a solid game in goal, ably assisted by Brian, Killian, and Sean in defence.

Further up the field, Kieran, Brandon,Tommy, Josh and substitute Eoin also excelled.

Team:

Aidan O`Halloran, Brian Murphy, Anthony Craig, Micheal Murphy, Shane O`Donoghue, Sean Dowling 0-1, Killian O`Riordan, Kieran Dwyer 0-1,Jack Quilter[C], Cian Ronan, Brandon Boyle 0-2, Tommy Lynch, Jack Lynch, Josh Laucher 2-3 and Gearoid Dillane.

Sub: Eoin Greaney 0-1.

Our next outing will be in Round 1 of the County League.

This game has been put back by a week and will now go ahead on Saturday February 28th at 4 PM in Ballybunion against Beale.

Juvenile Academy:

We had another great turnout from our u6’s last Sunday. Shane O’Neill, Sharon Enright, Sam Jones and Robert O’Shea put in a great training session showing great skill and determination.
The  St. Pats under 8’s  Boys & Girls had a great turnout at training last Sunday. Everyone put in a great effort with Grainne Breen, Darragh Murphy, Rory Daly and Daniel Sheehy giving it their all during the session.  It is important that ye all keep practicing yer skills at home during the mid term break and we hope to see ye all Sunday.

At u10 training today, Thomas Crean tried very hard, Paddy Moran made a couple of super block downs and Orlaith Murphy tried her best in the mini game.

U14’s: Training continues Friday at 6.45 in Tralee Sports Complex.

U16’s; training in BTS every Saturday morning at 8.30 and Sunday morning at 12.00 in the field
