Juvenile Academy:

Our academy was brought forward to last Friday night to accommodate families to Croke Park for the All Ireland Final. However, this did not deter all the many kids who showed up and put in a great hour’s work. The academy will revert to its normal time of10:30am this Sunday morning. As there is only a few weeks in the season left, we encourage all players to attend.

Congratulations

Congratulations’ to the all Ireland winning Kerry Minor and & Senior teams with their fantastic wins last Sunday over Donegal. It was a fantastic achievement to do the double, the first time since 1980! The hunt for tickets in the week’s leading up to the game was as big as what has been experienced by our club in recent times. We tried our very best with the limited number and quality of tickets to satisfy our sponsors, committee members, coaches, players and members alike. For that, huge credit goes to our club secretary Terry Boyle who had the unenviable task of co-ordinating the orders, collecting them from the county board and distributing them. We would also like to thank Johnny Enright and his team of people who helped erect the flags in the village and on the canal road. It made the village a sea of green and gold in the lead-up to the final.

Kerry Legends Lovely Legs

Our own Andrea O’Donoghue has a fantastic fundraising event taking place on Saturday night September 27th in the Fels Point Hotel at 8pm. She has lined up some Kerry Football Legend to wax their legs with the event being hosted by RTE’s Miriam O’Callaghan. All proceeds go to the Palliative Care Unit of Kerry General Hospital. It promises to be a great night with music after by Alan & the Accident and DJ Dermot O’Brien. Tickets are only €10 and are available through Andrea 0876413449 or at O’Shea’s shop.

An after school Childcare service will resume in September. Supervised homework. Large play area inside & out. Limited numbers available. All queries please contact Ann-Marie on 086-8602116.
