Juvenile Academy

U6: Well done to Grace Costello, Noah Flynn, Bruce McMillan and Sam Smith who put in a great training session last Sunday morning but a huge well done to our latest member, Bradley who received our player of the week trophy by showing great skill and determination throughout the session. Keep up the good work.

U8: Our under 8 squad participated in the annual John Mitchel’s blitz last Saturday and played very well. We had three exciting games against Mitchels, na Gaeil and Kerin’s O Rahillys and as a result of the worsening weather conditions we were unable to play the last two scheduled games.

In all three games everyone put in a full effort with some great saves in goals by Keelin Sinnott, well placed kick outs by Chloe Passway, staunch defending by Ródhan Culloo, Ryan Fitzgerald and Eddie Hayes.

In the middle of the pitch James Daly and Sam Jones displayed some great catching and battling spirit while our attack was led by the energetic Stephen Enright who was ably assisted by Sharon Enright and Rian Flynn .

Well done to all and to the parents who got them there and remained to soak up the atmosphere! Thanks to Kevin McMahon and his team in the Mitchells Club for organising this blitz.

The Annascaul under eight squad plan to visit us next Sunday for a return game and we will confirm details through club messaging system later in the week.

U10: St Pats  U-10’s took part in a well organised blitz in Mitchels last Saturday. However the atrocious weather conditions spoiled the event.

We were in a group against Cordal, Kerins O’Rahillys, Na Gaeil, Castleisland Desmond’s and Ardfert. All our St Pats future stars played their hearts out and despite being soaking wet and freezing cold they continued playing and great credit is due to them for that.

Our brave St Pats heros on the day were Aiden Hayes, Gary Scollard, Michael Enright, Rory Daly, Killian O’Mahony, Mark O’Brien, Daniel Sheehy, Jack Costello, Rory Kelliher, Caoilainn Culloo, Darragh Murphy, Eddie Stack, Kayla O’Connor, Grainne Breen and Luke Passway.

The coaches were delighted with the effort each player gave at the blitz. We are playing Annascaul at home this Sunday 1st of Oct at 10.30am so hope to see ye all there.  Keep practicing yer skills at home during the week…Naomh Padraig Abu !!

People in our area have told us that because life is so hectic that it’s often difficult to find time to meet neighbours and friends. Many have admitted they don’t know their neighbours and would love to have an opportunity to meet them.

A great night of music will be provided by local musicians. Finger food will be served. Prizes will be raffled during the night. The fun will begin at 9.30pm

Jigsaw Kerry

Ahead of World Mental Health Day on October 10th, extreme endurance athlete Gavan Hennigan will be delivering a talk entitled “Developing Mental Resilience”.

Gavan’s story is an inspiring one; his life hasn’t always been about extreme adventures. As a young person, Gavan suffered badly at the hands of alcohol and drug addiction. He managed to turn his life around and has stayed clean and sober ever since.

His story is definitely one to be heard. The event, takes place in the Rose Hotel, Dan Spring Rd, Tralee, Co. Kerry on October 8th 2017, with refreshments at 7pm and the talk beginning at 7.30pm. Contact Jigsaw Kerry on 066 718 6785 to book a ticket.

 Astro Pitch

Our all-weather astro pitch is available for hire at very competitive rates. It is flood-lit, so training or whatever use you may have for it can also be accomplished in the evenings now that the days are getting shorter. Contact James Costello on 0862908735 for booking and more information.
