Lotto

There was no winner of our Club Lotto Jackpot on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 12, 17, 23 & 29. The five €30 consolation prizes went to Kathleen Poff Lohercannon, Tara Foran c/o Rock Inn, Denis Foley Kerins Park, Chris Foley Spa Road and Marguerite Trant Curraheen.

Next week’s Lotto will have a Jackpot of €5,100 and the draw will take place this Sunday night December 3rd in Skelper Quane’s Bar. Lotto tickets can be purchased online, from any club officer or at the following outlets: Seamus O’Sullivan Master Butchers, O’Sheas Shop and Service Station, Poff Motors, Noyeks, Byrnesworth, Rock Inn, Dwyer’s Bar, Skelper Quanes, Bettys Bar and Keane’s of Curraheen.

AGM

Our Senior AGM will take place on Sunday, the 3rd of December at 3pm in our Community Rooms. All motions and nominations for officers can be sent to Conor Culloo. All registered club members are advised to attend. If you would like to get involved in any aspect as the local GAA club is a great way to forge great and often life-long friendships, please contact club secretary, Conor Culloo.

This is to be preceded by our Juvenile AGM which will now be held in the Community Rooms at 2pm (3rd December). We appeal to all club patrons, particularly the parents of the club’s juveniles to attend this important meeting and help make plans for 2018. This is an important meeting and we would like to hear your views on how we can improve our Academy and Juvenile club. The Juvenile section of the club will require the services of a new Secretary and PRO for the coming year. Any nominations can be sent tobrenda.doody@gmail.com before Friday, 27th November. All parents of underage players are invited to attend on the night.

Blennerville Derrymore Community First Responders will be holding a Bake Sale in Curraheen Church Community Room after 8pm mass on Saturday 2nd December and 11am mass on Sunday 3rd December. There will be a Traditional Iced Christmas Cake to raffle and Christmas cards will be for sale to raise funds for this community group.

Christmas Concert

Curraheen community’s Christmas concert will be held on Sunday December 10th in Blennerville National School Hall from 6pm to 8pm. Tickets €10 per adult, available from O’Shea’s Blennerville and St. John’s Parish Centre. Proceeds to Community Room extension fund.

Curraheen Community Council AGM

Curraheen Community Council AGM will be held on Tues, Dec 5th at 8pm in the Community Meeting Room at Curraheen Church. Everybody is welcome to attend.

Coiste na nOg Chiarrai

Congratulations to Tadhg O’Halloran & Liam Sayers who were among the past & present officers to be honoured at the Coiste na nOg Chiarrai Golden Jubilee Celebration in Killarney on Saturday night last. Liam served as Chairman & Secretary of Coiste na nOg Chiarrai for 6 years in the 1970s, while Tadhg is currently Vice Chairman and was Secretary from 2011 to 2015.

 Astro Pitch
