Everyone put in a great effort practicing their skills at training with Luke Passway, Rory Daly, Mark O’Brien & Millie O’Brien giving it their all during the session.  It is important that ye all keep practicing yer skills at home. U10’s: The u10’s hosted a go games blitz against Ballyheigue, Churchill and Ardfert on Sunday in the blistering sunshine in Blennerville. Our players showed tremendous improvement and special mention goes to Seanie Murphy, James Dowling, Calum Heuston, Fionn Dairo and an extra one to Josh Quilter for playing his heart out. We’ll also like to thank Danny Greaney and Tomas O’Sullivan for refereeing the matches. Hope to see you all in training this Thursday.

U-16’s:

St Pats 5 09

John Mitchels 7 11

St Pats U16s produced a stunning fightback in the second half against John Mitchels. However,on this occasion, a strong Mitchels team held on for victory. This was our final central league fixture and was played on a glorious evening for football in Ballyseedy.

John Mitchels started brightly before St Pats, led by the excellent Joe Quilter, won a penalty which was coolly converted by Eoin Greaney. This was followed by scores from Joe and another pointed free from Eoin. Mitchels finished the first half strong, racking up three goals.goals. Mitchels could have scored more but were thwarted on numerous ocasions by the excellent Sean Hogan in goals and some diligent defending from Joe O’ Connor and Mikey Cahill.

The second comeback was led by Shane Jordan and Patrick Dowling, who both won a lot of ball around the middle, setting up Eoin Greaney, James Friel and the unstoppable Joe Quilter, who bagged a second half hat-trick. Unfortunately, the comeback came too late and Mitchels proved deserving winners in the end.

We now have two months to prepare for the county league which will commence after the exams in June. The central league has pitted us against some strong outfits and it will prove to be great preparation for our future challenges.
