Juvenile Academy

U6: We had another busy energetic session today with good effort put in. Special mention to Jace & Rylan Flynn for good concentration in the goal scoring drill! We’re working on fitness, flexibility, ball handling & confidence. Adding a few new ball drills today added to the challenge for the foxes. Great to have the inspiration of some of our older U10 players joining in for encouragement. Keep up the good work & concentration Dylan, Jaden & Bruce. Player of the week went to Thomas Colivet who tried really hard & paid special attention to counting his steps! Well done all. Go St Pats!!

U8: Our under 8s continue to have great fun at their indoor training in the Cumann Iosaef Hall. It continues again next Sunday, February 25th at 10am. Players are reminded not to forget their mouth-guards. New members are always welcome at St Pats so come along and make new friends.

U10: Another great session was enjoyed by this young group of emerging stars, with a lot of fun and games had during the hour. It is great and encouraging to see all the kids improving weekly. Training continues next Sunday at Cumann Iosaef Hall at 11am.

U12: The St. Pats under 12’s Boys & Girls were training last Monday and friday. Despite the poor weather conditions we had a great turnout and everyone was so enthusiastic practicing their skills at training with Conor Daly, Thomas Sheehy, Diarmuid Waugh and Mark O’Brien giving it their all during the sessions. It is important that ye all keep attending training so we’ll be ready for the county league games when they kick off soon. We hope to see ye all as training continues on our Astro pitch this Monday 19th at 3.45pm to 4.45pm and again next Friday the 23rd at 5.45pm to 6.45pm.

U14 Girls: Our first training session took place last Sunday on our astro pitch. We had a good turnout despite the bad weather. It was encouraging to see that the girls had maintained their great skills. County League will be starting in 4 weeks, so we  encourage all our players to attend training next week.

Minors

Our minors began their season with an away win against Kilcummin in what could best be described as a thriller with a total of 13 goals scored between both teams as we won by the narrowest of margins.

Overall, it was a great team perfomance and credit to all the players who dug really deep to come out victorious on the day. We had scores from James Friel (2-0), Fergal O’Brien (3-04), Patrick Dowling (1-02) and Shane Jordan (1-01).

Well done to Kevin, Frank and the team.

CORRECTION: The minor team manager is Kevin Boyle and not Terry Boyle as was mentioned last week. Apologies for the confusion.

Seniors

Our match against Na Gaeil last Sunday was called off due to no pitch being available. The match hasn’t been fixed for any date yet due to the weather but keep an eye out on our Facebook page for updates.
