Lotto

There was no winner of our Club Lotto Jackpot on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 13, 14, 15 and 23.The five €30 consolation prizes went to Margaret Kennedy Asdee, Jeremiah Greaney c/o T. Casey, Pat Enright Port Laoise, John Kelliher Lohercannon and Joan Devane Blennerville.

Next week’s Lotto will have a Jackpot of €6,700 and the draw will take place on Sunday night March 25th in Keane’s Bar. Lotto tickets can be purchased online, from any club officer or at the following outlets: Seamus O’Sullivan Master Butchers, O’Sheas Shop and Service Station, Poff Motors, Noyeks, Byrnesworth, Rock Inn, Dwyer’s Bar, Skelper Quanes, Bettys Bar and Keane’s of Curraheen

Juvenile Academy

There was no Academy session last Sunday the 18th March due to St Patrick’s Day celebrations. The Academy will however resume on Sunday 25th March at the Club premises. Don’t forget your gum shields and dress appropriately.

U12: The  St. Pats under 12’s Boys & Girls were training last Monday and Friday.  We had a great turnout and everyone was so enthusiastic practicing their skills at training with Conor Daly, Thomas Sheehy,Killian O’Mahony and Aiden Hayes giving it their all during the sessions. It is important that ye all keep attending training so we’ll be ready for the county league games when they kick off on Sunday 8th of April. We hope to see ye all as training continues on our pitch this Friday 23rd at 5.45pm to 6.45pm.

U14 Girls: Well done to the girls that turned up for training despite the cold conditions last Sunday. We hope to see you all same time next week but note that training will be on the pitch.

U14 Boys: Our U14 boys play Churchill on Monday, 19th March in Blennerville at 2pm. Best of luck to all involved.

U16: Training continues twice weekly at the set date and times.

Minors

Our next match has been fixed for Monday, the 19th of March when we welcome our West Kerry neighbours, Annascaul/Lispole to Blennerville with a throw-in time of 3.00pm. There is also a back game which has been fixed for Friday, 30th March when we will be away to Beaufort. Throw in time for that match is 5pm.

Seniors

Our Round 2 match in the County League is on Sunday, 25th March at 2pm in Blennerville. We will be welcoming Brosna and we urge our supporters to come out and support Joe and the lads.

Dingle Way Challenge 2018

Plans for the biggest and best DWC are well underway.  The date is set for June 3rd (keep that date free and marked in your diaries and calendars). And as usual, there will be two challenges: The standard DWC, which is a 42km walk with theroute going from from Feothanach – Sauce Creek – Halla Le Cheile (there will be breakfast provided here) – Fermoyle Beach – Stradbally (Lunch at the Golf Club or Castlegregory) – Castlegregory – Lower Camp (Water/Toilet/Bus in Fitzgeralds) – Blennerville ( There will be BBQ in Quanes). Please note that buses will leave from Blennerville at 7am sharp for this option.

And then the ultra route (about 63km!) where the trek will begin in Feothanach at 5am and through to Halla Le Cheile and to Brandon via Sauce Creek. Again, buses will leave Blennerville at 4am sharp and as usual, there will be buses going back to Blennerville after the walk.

Registration will be €45 on the day and online (stpatsgaaclub.com/events or myclubfinances.com/memberships) after April 15th. Early Bird Registration online will be €40 before April 15th.

Membership Registration 2018

Please note that the time for 2018 Registration and payment of the club membership subscription is drawing to a close. Your Club Membership for 2018 can now be registered and the subscription paid online by Credit Card, Debit Card. It’s as easy as going to the Club website – www.stpatsgaaclub.com, select Membership and follow the instructions. While the annual subscriptions alone do not cover the full costs of Club activities they do form an important part of income for the Club. The Club also relies on members, sponsors and supporters engaging in fundraising during the year to make up the difference.

By subscribing on-line you will have access to your account, where full details on your Membership will always be available to you.

St Patrick’s Day Parade

Colour, vibrancy and a great sense of togetherness were what greeted the spectators as St. Pats marched through the town in the annual St. Patricks day parade last Saturday, despite the very cold conditions. Many thanks to members of our juvenile academy, mentors and parents who attended this great event. It was our biggest turnout in recent times. Thanks also to the organisers.

Community Room

Congratulations

Congratulations to John and Myra Keane and the birth of their twin boy and girl recently.

Blennerville Community Playschool

Blennerville Community Playschool are holding an Easter Camp from Tuesday 3rd April til Friday 6th, 9am to 12pm involving Arts & Crafts, Games and Outdoor Activities. The camp costs €40 for the week ( €30 for siblings). Contact Laura on 0863466115.

Confirmation

Blennerville and Derryquay schools will have their confirmation ceremonies on Thursday, 22nd March at 11am in St John’s Church. We wish all participating students all the best on the day.

Dawn Mass

This will be celebrated in Annagh Cemetery on Easter Sunday Morning at 6am to celebrate the Resurrection.  All are welcome.

Sympathy
