Juvenile Academy

With the temperatures warming up for the rest of the week, our Academy is taking a well deserved break for 3 weeks and will re-commence on Sunday, the 22nd of July. We encourage all our players to keep practicing during the break!

U6: We had a hot session in the sun today! Great to see another good attendance & good effort in the ball skill drills. It was lovely to see the younger players & particularly the girls growing in confidence in tackling & match play. Well done to all, especially our player of the week, Rachel Colivet. Sorry I hadn’t realised at the end of our session there will be a summer break from the academy. You will be notified of our return date in early August. Thanks for all the help parents & coaches

U8: The under 8s had a good session of exercises, kicking practice and finished with an intense game last Sunday morning. Well done to Chloe Passway on winning the Player of the Week. Chloe is one of our consistent and enthusiastic players. We will be taking a few weeks break from the academy session so keep up practicing your skills at home especially kicking and hand passing.

U10: The academy for our U10’s continued last Sunday morning in the scorching sun and thanks to all who attended. It is great to see them having fun whilst learning their skills. Well done to our player of the week, Keelin Sinott. It is very important that parents bring their kids to training to learn their skills and also encourage them to practice at home especially as the Academy is on a short break till the 22nd of July.

U12: St Pats U-12’s were in Co League action last Sunday. We traveled to sun drenched Ballymac to take on the locals. Unfortunately at the long whistle the result went against us but all our St Pats players did their club proud on the night and gave it their all during the entire game. The disappointment on our players was short lived as we celebrated the return to action of our brave goalkeeper Thomas Sheehy. It was heart warming to see Thomas back to his best and well on his way to a full recovery after his recent illness. Well done to our team on the night Thomas Sheehy, Eddie Stack, Orlaith Murphy, Daniel Sheehy, Rachel Mulgrew, Michael Enright, Jack Costello, Aiden Hayes, Fionn Dairo, Lance Byrne, Rory Kelliher, Killian O’Mahony, Mark O’ Brien, Darragh Murphy, Quin Griffin. With no schedule of forthcoming games we’re taking a break but It’s important ye all keep practicing yer skills at home during the summer months. The management team of Johnny Enright, Dipo Dairo, Packie Dillane and James Stack would like to thank the players and their parents for their commitment to date. Naomh Pádraig Abú !!
