Bootcamp:

The bootcamp began last Monday night with a huge turnout. Fitness instructor & co-ordinator Eoin Murray and his team had the participants working hard for the full hour with plenty of fun and novel activities. The bootcamp continues for another 5 weeks every Monday & Wednesday nights at 7:30 in the club grounds. New additions are welcome as you can pay per class at a cost of €10.

Juvenile Academy:

The Juvenile Academy will resume this Sunday after a break for the bank holiday weekend. All players to be there for 10:30am Under 11’s: Our U11’s played against Na Gaeil away from home last Tuesday evening and turned out to be a close game in the end. We only got 2 scores in the first half 1 point from Danny Greaney and 1 from Tomas O’Sullivan but Seanie Murphy was very unlucky not to get his name on the scoresheet after he hit the crossbar on 3 occassions.

Jade Harkins played outstanding in goals and her kickouts were very accurate finding her red and white team mates every time. In the second Jade came outfield and David Faido replaced her in goals and he played just as well as Jade making numerous saves.

Thankfully, in this half we took advantage of our scoring opportunities and we saw goals from Martin Laucher, Tomas O’Sullivan and Jade Harkins and points from Martin, Danny, Jade and Tomas. We saw fantastic clearances by Cillian Lynch in defence and Samuel Abubaker played a stormer in Midfield.

Full time score St.Pats 4-7 Na Gaeil 5-9

Team: David Faido, Jade Harkins(1-1), Sean Crowley, Martin Laucher(1-1), Danny Greaney(0-2), Tomas O’Sullivan(1-3), Samuel Abubaker, Adam Mulvihille, Cillian Lynch, Corey O’Shea, Seanie Murphy.

Under 16’s:

Our U16’s played against Asdee/Ballylongford on Tuesday nite at home and what a game we were treated to! It was a very tight and exciting game and it was nip and tuck right to the final whistle. St. Pats started very well with 2 points by Eoin Greaney followed by a goal a few minutes later.

Another two points by Joshua Laucher and Cian Ronan gave our lads a reasonable lead. Towards the end of the first half the visitors fought back reducing the deficit to only 4 points going into the second half. Sean Hogan made some superb saves in goals while Joe O’Connor and Brian Murphy played outstanding in defence clearing ball time and time again.

Kieran O’Dwyer and Cian Ronan won alot of prime possession that kept our attack flowing and Darragh Sheehan was cleaning up in full forward fielding high balls in the air. However, Asdee/ Ballylongford started the second half very brightly scoring 5 unstoppable goals.

Our lads showed great determination pulling back a 7 point lead to just one point. A great attack by Shane O’Donoghue that hit the crossbar and then landed into the hands of Eoin Greaney who rattled the net to put St Pats 2 points up just before the final whistle.

Final score St.Pats 6-12 Asdee/Ballylongford 7-7.
