Registration 2023

As the registration deadline has now passed it is vital that outstanding membership fees are paid this week for all players from Senior to U5 level.
Failure to have a valid membership for 2023 may preclude players of all ages from taking part in games and/or training sessions and/or use of club facilities.
Membership is also due for club officials and coaches of any age group.

In order to qualify for cover by the GAA or LGFA Injury Benefit Fund a player must have a fully paid playing membership on Foireann prior to the injury occurring. The respective Injury Benefit Funds are self-funded entirely from the GAA and LGFA funds with no outside involvement. The Injury Funds are not an insurance scheme. The Injury Funds are set up to assist members with some reimbursement for medical expenses incurred due to an injury sustained playing Gaelic football.

The respective Injury Benefit Funds do not seek to compensate fully for injuries sustained but to supplement other Schemes such as Personal Accident or Health Insurance. The GAA and LGFA Schemes only provide cover for unrecoverable losses up to the limits specified under the respective Schemes. More details can be viewed on https://learning.gaa.ie/InjuryFund or https://ladiesgaelic.ie/resources/injury-fund/

Any player, parent or coach having difficulty completing the membership process is asked to contact the Club Registrar Fiacc Murphy on 087 6437848

Foireann Mobile App

A Foireann mobile app is now available, and this is the only official membership and communications app for GAA, LGFA and Camogie clubs. The app is available for both iOS (via the Apple Store) and Android devices (via Google Play). The Foireann Mobile app makes it even easier to manage your Foireann profile and all the ways you interact with the Club. We ask all members to download the app as it will make it easier to manage membership, update contact details and keep up to date with team activities.

The Foireann membership and communications app is fully integrated with the Foireann membership system – members can log in on the app with their existing Foireann account to see upcoming events which includes event details for anyone in your Family. The app also puts news, fixtures, and results in your pocket so you can stay up to date with the most important and relevant information.

Foireann is the GAA system used by clubs to manage membership and it allows members to register for membership and pay online using the Mobile app or the Foireann system at www.foireann.ie

On our first sunny morning of academy this year our U9 boys were mad for football, after our game during the week was unfortunately cancelled due to heavy rainfall. Well done to all the lads for their efforts and great work done in our skill drills. As always, we finished with two excellent games where all the boys had great fun. Well done to Aaron who was todays pick for player of the week.

On Thursday evening in Beaufort, beneath the majestic backdrop of the McGillacuddy reeks, our boys had easily their best performance so far this year in the St Brendan’s Board games.

Everyone put in great effort, played for each other, and most importantly had fun as a team. Well done to all the players and thank you to the parents who made the trip.
We had our last training at the MTU on Sunday where again effort was excellent across the board.

We hope to see the number of boys attending training improve as the Easter holidays end and we return to the grass in Blennerville next Sunday.
Our next game is at home Vs Castleisland on Thursday evening in Blennerville.

The Under 12s on a visit to Croke Park.

U12 Boys

Last Wednesday, 25 of our u12 players got the opportunity of a lifetime to play in the GAA’s National Blitz Day for Munster Counties. After a lot of planning, the bus left St Pats at 8:30am in the morning with players, coaches and supporters alike. After a brief stop in Birdhill, we arrived in Croke Park at 1pm where the lads got to do a bit of exploring around the Cusack stand!

We watched some of our fellow Kerry clubs play before our players and coaches got a tour of the stadium. It included a trip to both dressing rooms; the players’ lounge and the presentation and Ard Chomhairle area of the Hogan Stand. Then immediately after the tour, they got togged out for their three games on the pitch between 4-5pm.

We played Sam Maguire’s from Dunmanway in Cork, Ennistymon from Clare and Crecora Mainistir from Limerick. All three games were keenly contested with our lads playing some great football. We then changed our gear, back on to the bus and straight to Barack Obama for well-deserved refreshments. The bus arrived home safe and sound shortly after 10:30pm.

A huge thanks to all in Croke Park for providing the opportunity for the lads to play in HQ. A huge thanks to our Juvenile Chairperson for co-ordinating the fundraising for the trip. We raised over €3,000 which fully covered the cost of the trip and also providing gear bags for the players and coaches.

Thanks to all the people and local businesses who supported it. A special thanks to the coaches, John, Brian, Fiacc and Joe. Thanks also to our young whistlers Keelin, Jack and Michael who got the opportunity to ref in Croke Park. Thanks also to Johnny & Norma Enright, Norma O’Regan, Emma Colivet and Siobhán Flahive who assisted with helping out on the day itself.

A memorable day for all involved!! The squad was: Thomas Colivet, Hugh Costello, Tommy Costello, Paddy Costello, Oscar Curran, Cillian Enright, Darragh Flahive, Rian Flynn, Paddy Flynn, Jace Flynn, Rylan Flynn, Noah Flynn, Thomas Higgins, Bruce McMillan, Darragh Murphy, Dylan Murphy, Cian O’Regan, James O’Riordan, Callum Rice, Charlie Sharp, Fionn Sharp, Darragh Sheehan, Jayden Sinnott, Samuel Smith, and Ben Walsh.

U13

Our u13’s trained well last week despite our u12’s missing Tuesday due to the trip to Croke Park. A good collective training session on Thursday was the perfect tonic for our best performance of the season to date against Kerins O’Rahillys B last Sunday evening in Ballyrickard. We started the game brightly and dominated the opening exchanges and raced into an early lead.

Kerins O’Rahillys introduced some players from the bench who had an immediate impact and two quick goals plus a few points put the home team into a one-point lead at half time. A few positional switches plus the introduction of some fresh legs at half time for St Pats had the desired effect with some great scores saw us regain the lead. The boys had some great passages of play in the second half and thoroughly deserved their win, with a good spread of scorers.

Thanks to Maurice O’Sullivan from Ballyheigue who officiated the match superbly and thanks to Kerins O’Rahillys for hosting us. We have one back game left against Moyvane which will be re fixed in the coming days. For now, we ask that all u13 players make the effort to be at training every Tuesday and Thursday evening at St Pats to keep the progress on an upward curve.

U12

The U12 Girls have a game on Tuesday evening in St. Pats pitch against Churchill B at 6pm.

U14 Girls

The girls will play Laune rangers B in St Pats next Friday evening at 7pm. Training continues Thursday this week.
