Great session this morning in the sun! Great effort from all the boys and girls. Big congratulations to our players of the week Kelly and Jack who both tried very hard and joined in all the games. And welcome to our new players. Hope to see you all again next week. Up Pats!

What an excellent day last Sunday, as this was some of our U7 first matches as it progressed the nerves disappeared and those that were shy at the start were soon getting stuck in. There was great determination shown by all.

U8 Girls

We joined forces with the boys U7 against Keel at Juvenile Acaddemy on Sunday to take part three, very competitive and entertaining games in brilliant sunshine. Thank You to Keel GAA for travelling to us.

U9 Boys

Our U9’s had a super session in the sun this week. We had great numbers and they worked hard on all their skills. The finished off this week with a very competitive game with our u10 girls. Well, done to everybody and thanks to Noel and James for taking the session. We are away to Annascaul this Tuesday evening at 6:30pm.

U10 Girls

We had a high energy session in the lovely sunshine this morning with fun and games designed to work on movement, and skills in a fun and positive way.

After carrying out our training, we finished up with a very competitive game against a very good boys’ team which the girls held their own showing great skill, teamwork, and great determination, well done girls. Very well done to Anna Poff for winning this week’s player of the week. Keep up the good work Anna. Keep up the practice at home girls and we look forward to seeing ye all again next week.

U11 Boys

St Pats U-11’s had no game last week, so we were training last Sunday in preparation for the upcoming phase 2 of Lee Strand Co County Go Games. Our numbers were low for training, but we had a good session all the same improving our skills and we finished up with an enjoyable match. All players put in a great effort especially Luke, Paddy, Tommy and young Éanna. It’s important all our players continue to attend our training sessions and also keep practicing the skills at home during the week. Matches will be starting soon so we will be in contact with parents when we know details of same… Naomh Pádraig Abú!!

We travelled out to Sackville on Sunday evening to play Ardfert in the County league. It was a beautiful evening and perfect conditions for football. Unfortunately, our performance was far from beautiful! It was well below the standard we would expect from a talented group of players. We just didn’t show up and a good Ardfert side beat us well.  Thanks to Ardfert GAA for a tough game played in the right spirit. We are back training tomorrow, Monday, at St Pat’s from 6pm to 6:45pm.

U14 Girls

Great news from Finuge last night, we secured our first win of the season. A score line of 1-05 to 0-07 points. It was a great game of football to watch and was end to end stuff. St pats girls definitely finished stronger and came out on top by a point. It was our first night that we had many back from injury and thankfully all came through OK. Great displays from everyone from 1 to 16 and all kept going for the full hour.

Lucy again played a great game in goals with her kick outs going to the St pats players most of the time. Our backs which were made up of Meaghan, Kacey, Grace, Saorlaith, Ava and Alannah played their hearts out and came up against some tough players but never gave up right up until the end.

Midfield had a tough task with two very strong players needing to be marked, but Niamh and Ashling stepped up and worked their socks off proving to be a great link between the forwards and the backs. Our forwards Ria, Sarah, Kaela, Emma, Jade, Hannah and Ailbhe played their hearts out also and picked off some lovely scores with some great teamwork.

On this occasion we have to give a special mention to Meaghan, Ashling, Alannah and Ailbhe who all came back from injury and proved to us how much of a loss they were. Onwards and upwards from here on in!!
