Juvenile Academy

U6’s: It was great to see another huge turnout at training last Sunday morning with Isaac Price, Grace  Costello and James Daly  showing great skill and determination. A huge well done to Rian Flynn who won our footballer of the week cup impressing his coaches with his football skills. Keep up the good work!

U8’s: The U 8s enjoyed a skills based session on Sunday last in a fun filled environment. Sarah Fitzgerald, Luke Passway, and Jack Costello were very sharp. Peileadoir na Seachtaine was earned by Conor O’ Neill who put in a great performance.
Academy training will be held at an earlier time of 9.30 to facilitate our basketball friends!!

U10’s: The St. Pats under 10’s  Boys & Girls were in academy action last Sunday. We had a good turnout at training in the Pres Hall. Everyone put in a great effort during the session with Zach Howarth Jamie Lynch, Millie O’Brien and Killian O’Mahony giving it their all during the session.

Congratulations to Kayla O’Connor on winning footballer of the week trophy. It is important that ye all keep practicing   at home during the week. Seniors:

Last weekend saw our seniors continue preparations for the county league with a worthwhile challenge game vs Skellig Rangers on Saturday night in John Mitchels. It was a great workout for both teams with our boys winning in the end on a scoreline of 12 pts to 9. Thanks to Skellig for travelling and to John Mitchels for facilitating the game.

We have two games left in the St Brendan’s League against Ardfert & Ballymac. However, the weather forecast will dictate when these are played. We are hopeful to play Ballymac this Sunday but keep an eye on the clubs Facebook page for further details. Our first game of the county league is Sunday week March 20th where we will host Beale.

Registration forms have been distributed to all current members. These can be returned to any club officer or left in O’Shea’s Gala Shop. There will also be forms available via team mentors and at the Academy on Sunday mornings.
