Juvenile Academy

Due to Feile 2016, the Academy will take place on Sunday next from 5.30 – 6.30pm. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

U6’s: Well done to Matthew Murphy and Chloe Passway who put in a great training session last Sunday but a huge well done to Niamh Murphy who received our player of the week trophy by showing great skill and determination.

U8’s: Thanks to Blennerville National school for hosting our U6 and 8 last Sunday. Jack Costello, Sarah Fitzgerald and Rodhan Culloo played well and the player of the week was presented to Darragh Murphy.

U10’s: There was no training last Sunday due to the bad weather.

U12’s: Our U12’s were away to Asdee/Ballylongford in a rescheduled county league match last Wednesday evening and unfortunately could not build up on last week’s win. However, there was some great football played and all the players involved should be proud of their performance.

U14’s: St Pats U14’s traveled the short distance over the mountain to play Milltown/Castlemaine on Thursday last.

Due to injuries and people missing some u12 players filled in and showed that the future is bright in the club.
We started off great and all were playing some great football! Gavin Doody showed once again what a fantastic goalie he is. He made some amazing saves which included a top class penalty save.

Our back line of Micheal Doody, Liam O’Sullivan, Dylan Griffin, Oisin Tobin, Niall McCarthy and Samuel Abubaker all had a great game and were up against a very strong forward line but equipped themselves well.

Mid field of Jamie O’Brien and Darragh Moriarty also covered the whole pitch and in the first half and caused a lot of trouble for the opposition pair.
Our forwards, made up of two U12’s players Cillan Lynch and Colin Doody did very well playing against a very strong team. Danny Greaney, Tomas O’Sullivan, Nathan Moriarty Tadgh Kerins and Sean Fitzgibbon got a load of ball and produced some huge scores.

Everyone played really well in the first half but unfortunately the second half didn’t go according to plans and a much stronger team came out in the second half. Milltown/Castlemaine upped the ante and scored some huge scores and could have scored a lot more but for the heroics of Gavin in goals.

The team played Kerins O’Rahilly’s last Monday night and it was a good warmup for the big event which is Feile.
Best wishes to our great back Cormac Lynch hope to see u back soon!
