Lotto

Our lotto was held last Monday night, August 29th in Skelper Quane’s Bar due to the Kerry game. Winning numbers will be included in next week’s notes.

Academy

Our Juvenile Academy boys and girls had a good turnout last Thursday evening and everyone involved had lots of fun learning their skills, which will stand to them in future. Training reverts back to the usual time of 10.30am on Sundays.

U12’s: Our U12’s played their first game in the Kelliher’s Toyota Central Region Division 4 League away to Annascaul/Lispole. The players involved played well but a very strong away side prevailed in the second half of the game. Training will continue this Friday from 6.15pm to 7.15pm.

U16’s:
Division 6 County League Final

A proud night in the parish on Wednesday night last when a “silver ware” was carried across Blennerville bridge. St pats u16s had a great win over Kilcummin on a score line of 6-12 to 3-12.

It was a great game filled with lots of goals and superb skills throughout, and with great heart and determination, St Pats ran out worthy winners much to the delight of the big Blennervile Crowd in attendance. Gavin Doody who has been a star in both u14’s and u16’s showed again what a fantastic goalie he is and is definitely one that will be wearing a Kerry jersey in years to come.

St pats full back line had oceans of experience and showed on several occasions, defended, and put their bodies on the line clearing ball after ball. Bryan Teahan, Ian McCarthy and Damien Quirke all played brilliantly.

Our half back line of Ali Gardazi,Cathal Fitzgibbon and Martin Savage made some fantastic runs and worked the ball well between each other to get it out of defence. All in all, the defence played outstanding on the night and you could see that they were well used to playing with each other over the years which was great to see.

Midfield on the night was Patrick Dowling and Shane Jordan who was captain fantastic. Both did Trojan work around the middle of the field and covered a lot of ground through out the game.

Our forwards on the night worked very hard and along with others on the team registered a huge score of 6-12 which is massive scoring in any football game! Luke O’Carroll, Adam Boyle and Fergal O’Brien all performed really well picking off scores during the course of the game.

The full forward line of James Friel,Tristen Raymond and Nathan Rohan all worked hard through out the 60 mins and linked up very well to set up and score some vital scores. Our subs comprising of Ciaran O’Donoghue, Paddy Murphy, Jamie O’Brien, Oisin Spillane, Darragh Falvey and James O’Sullivan were all introduced and each individual had a huge impact on the game.

All in all it was a huge team performance with all players involved playing a huge part in a fantastic win. Congratulations also to the management team of Luke Mulligan, Eoin Sayers and Gavin Collins and also to this hugely talented team who will hopefully keep going right up and perform on the senior team in years to come. The future is bright for St Pats and some of these boys will soon be taken to the field in croke park wearing the Green and Gold .

Senior B Team

St Pats 2-11 Laune Rangers 0-19 AET.
We exited the McElligott Cup at the Semi Final stage on Thursday last in Blennerville, when we under to Laune Rangers by two points after extra time.

At the end of normal time, the scoreline read, 2-8 to 0-14, with our goals coming from Brendain Savage & Paul O Sullivan.

The Mid-Kerry sides  fitness was a telling factor in the extra time period, albeit we were unlucky not to have at least shared the spoils again at the end, when a few created chances by us went abegging.

However, we can feel proud of our efforts in this competition and we wish the best of luck to Laune Rangers in the Final.
Team:

Aidan O Halloran [C], Paul O Sullivan [1-0], Joe Costello, Anthony Craig, Eric Teahan, Jack Quilter, Killian O Riordan , Luke Mulligan [0-2], Sean Hayes [0-1], Anton O Callaghan [0-2], George Carnegie, Brendain Savage [1-3], Eoin Sayers, James Costello [0-3] & Gavin Collins.

Other Panel Members::

Brendan O Neill, Thomas O Sullivan & Killian Quirke
