Lotto

There was no winner of our Club Lotto Jackpot on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 1, 7, 14 & 27.

The five €30 consolation prizes went to E. Quill Lohercannan, Pa Hurley Curraheen, Mike Farmer Lohercannan, Aislinn Quirke Ballydunlea and Gerard and Catherine Hanafin Curraheen.

Next week’s Lotto will have a Jackpot of €3,500 and the draw will take place this Sunday night Jan 29th in Keane’s Bar. Lotto tickets are available from the usual outlets (see our Facebook page) or any Club officer.

Juvenile Academy

U6: Well done to Thomas Higgins, Matthew Murphy and Erin O’Shea who put in a great training session last Sunday morning but a huge well done to Paddy Flynn who received our player of the week trophy by showing great skill and determination. Keep up the good work.

U8: While we completed a hat-trick of under 8 academy sessions last Sunday there wasn’t any hat trick scored during the end of session games.

We had our best attendance so far at the session and it’s great to see the enthusiasm being displayed by all. Sean and Aidan Berry along with Sam Jones, Rodhan Culloo and Ben Deegan showed off their shooting skills. Sarah Greaney, Niamh Murphy, Gearoid Hingston, Chloe Passway and Aoife Kennedy could audition for Riverdance such was their fleetness of foot on the floor ladders.

James Daly, Nathan Murphy, Keelin Sinnott and Aidan Hayes showed great concentration in the ball drills.

With such a large group coaches Sean and Mike were delighted to get the assistance of Martin Flynn and Mike Kennedy, two good candidates for a coaching course! Seamus was busy walking part of the Dingle way in preparation for the Dingle Way Challenge being organised by the Club.

The tranquillity of the walk and beautiful scenery didn’t compensate for the cut and thrust of the academy session so he promises to be back again on Sunday. Congratulations to George Keane on being awarded the Player of the Week trophy for his committed effort during all of Sunday’s session.

Same time – 10a.m., same place – Presentation Gym, Moyderwell on next Sunday, hope to see you all there again. Don’t forget gum shields are required to be worn at all training sessions.

U10: St Pats under 10’s Academy were training again last Sunday in the Pres hall. There was a great turnout of players all eager to learn the skills. It was great to see all the players putting in a great effort especially Daniel Sheehy, Caolinn Culloo, Aiden Hayes and Jack Costello. Well done to player of the week Ben Jones, keep up the good work. It’s important everyone keeps practicing their skills at home during the week. We are back training again Sunday morning same time 11am and same location for more fun and games see you there.

Congratulations

Congratulations to St Pats players Tommy Lynch, Eoin Greaney, Killian O’Riordan and team captain, Kieran Dwyer who were part of the Tralee CBS team that defeated IS Killorglin in the quarter final of the Corn Ui Mhuiri last week.

We wish them and the team well in their semifinal match against Colaiste Criost Rí from Cork.

Curraheen Church Vigil Mass Time

The result of the ballot last weekend was a tie between retaining the Vigil Mass at 8pm and changing to 7.30pm with little support for the Winter/Summer option. Because of this another ballot will take place on the weekend of February 3rd- 4th on just TWO options:

1) Retain Vigil Mass time at 8pm

2) Change Vigil mass time to 7.30pm.

Ballot papers will be distributed and completed on entry to the Church and each person may have one vote. It is hoped that this will give a decisive result.
