St PatsLotto

After the hysteria of last week’s lotto win, there was great interest in last week’s lotto to see if it was going to be won two weeks on the bounce, especially considering it commenced again at the higher figure of €3,000.

However, no winner emerged from the draw on Sunday night. The numbers drawn were 01, 02, 08 & 19. The five €30 consolation prizes went to Sean Foley, Knockmoyle; Fionn O’Dowd, Dingle; Michael Sayers, Derrymore West; Con O’Shea, Curraheen & Sheila Buckley, Ballymacelligott.

Next week’s Lotto will have a jackpot of €3,100 and the draw will take place this Sunday night November 23rd at 10pm in Keane’s Bar & Restaurant. Lotto tickets available from the usual outlets or any club officer.

Strictly Come Dancing 2014

IT’S A SELL OUT! Chief Organiser Jimmy Mulligan confirmed last week that the Strictly Come Dancing event is a sell out with all 500 tickets out for distribution.

Preparations are well underway with all 12 couples training very hard; on their own and as a group with their instructor Debbie on Sunday evenings.

Contrary to the wish of the organising committee, the chairman has been leaking the identity of some of the well known local participants on the club Facebook page!

However, all 24 dancers will be revealed this Saturday night at 9pm in Keane’s Bar where MC Tim Moynihan will be asking them about their participation to date. So let’s see you all there on Saturday night. There may even be a few spare tickets floating about.

Club Gear

We have had some requests from members looking to see pictures of the new jersies. They have now been posted on our Facebook page so check it out.

Because of this, the closing date for ordering our newly designed club jersies and shorts and socks has been extended to Sunday November 23rd.

Please contact Therese Greaney 087 6988052 or Cathy Hogan 087 6520923 for more details. An ideal Christmas present!!!

Three guest speakers have been invited to attend, including a member of An Garda Siochana who will discuss crime prevention, a representative for a provider of personal monitored alarms to do a demonstration on how these alarms work, and a Chartered Accountant to discuss the importance of making a Will, and to give advice on taxation, entitlements and other financial matters. Everybody is welcome.

Sympathy

The club would like to extend its sympathy to the family and friends of Willie Ryle, The Spa & Thomas Woods, Ashgrove. May They Rest In Peace.
