THEY’VE been there from the start so staff at a Tralee hotel decided to mark the event at The Rose Hotel on Thursday night.
Nine members of staff — Emma Larkin, Rico Zulu, Daniel Griffin, Andrea Geigerne, Shona Houlihan, Anthony Odugbesan, Jason Fabian, Mark O’Connor and Mary O’Neill — started in The Fels Point Hotel back in 2007 when it opened on the Dan Spring Road.
Later it was renamed The Carlton Hotel after being taken over by the Carlton Group, before reverting back again to The Fels Point Hotel. Eventually, Dick and Eibhlin Henggeler bought the premises in 2015 and it was rebranded The Rose Hotel.
The hotel saw a lavish revamp and it is thriving ever since. They’ve seen a lot of changes down the years and no doubt they looked back on the good times at their meal in the hotel.
