MONDAY just got drearier with the news this afternoon that Met Eireann has issued yet another weather warning for the county.

A Status Yellow – Rainfall warning was issued for Munster, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly and Galway.

Heavy, possibly thundery, rain will occur at times overnight and during Monday with accumulations of 25 to 40mm in places. Localised flooding may occur.

The warning is valid from 2am on Monday to midnight tomorrow night. Looking at the predicted rainfall radar on the Met Eireann website, it seems the worst of the rain in north Kerry will be between 11am and 6pm and it should be dry in most areas of Kerry tomorrow evening.
