Status Yellow Rainfall Warning Comes Into Effect On Monday

THERE’S some sustained wet weather on the way which has prompted Met Eireann to issue a Status Yellow – Rainfall warning for the whole of Ireland.

Persistent and occasionally heavy bands of rain will cross the country beginning on Sunday night through to Tuesday evening with the warning valid from Monday at 1am to Tuesday at 7pm.

While some areas will remain below warning levels, there is a risk of localized spot flooding with a heightened risk of flash flooding in mountainous regions where accumulations are expected to be highest.

This warning will be reviewed and may be elevated in further updates to reflect the evolving situation.

In Kerry it looks like it will be very wet from 11am on Monday until about 2pm with showery weather after that. The rain should clear by early Tuesday afternoon in Kerry.
