It’s set to be a wet day ahead according to the good folk at Met Eireann. There’s a Status Yellow Rainfall Warning in effect for Kerry and Cork from 9am today until 9am on Saturday.
A spell of heavy rain is expected to develop today over south Munster. It will continue overnight, before clearing northwards during Saturday morning. Between 25 and 40 mm of rain is expected, with the highest values expected over Kerry and west Cork.

The Met office says some brighter and drier conditions will follow from the south for a time, before further outbreaks of rain extend from the south again, late afternoon and evening.
There’ll be some bright spells on Sunday but also some heavy showers or longer spells of rain also. Not very promising then.
