Status Yellow Rainfall Warning For Kerry On Thursday

WEATHER warning season is in full swing at the moment and yet another one has been issued this afternoon by Met Éireann for Kerry and the south of the country.

A Status Yellow Rainfall warning for Munster, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow and Offaly will come into effect at 1am on Thursday until 1am on Friday.

Intense and potentially thundery downpours are expected on Wednesday night, Thursday and Thursday night which may lead to localised flooding.

Given recent heavy rainfall, this will further elevate river levels and may result in river flooding also.

Locally, it looks like the heaviest of the rain in Kerry will fall between 4am and 11am tomorrow while the rest of Thursday will see showers and sunny spells.
