A STATUS Yellow Rainfall Warning has been issued for Ireland to take effect on Sunday.

High amounts of rainfall may cause some disruption and spot flooding, with highest amounts in mountainous areas.

The warning is valid from 2am on Sunday to last all day until midnight. The good news is that until then we’re going to see fine weather in the Tralee area and around the county.

Friday evening will see sunny spells and temperatures of around 16 degrees. It’ll be dry overnight and Saturday will be a sunny day with temperatures of 21 degrees in the Tralee area.

The rain will arrive in the early hours of Sunday and will be heavy at times, but it should clear up by the evening. Early indications are it will be a showery Monday, but things will improve for the rest of the week with sunny spells and temperatures in the mid-teens.
