Status Yellow Wind And Rain Warnings For Kerry

MET Eireann has this afternoon issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning for Kerry for tomorrow.

This is in addition to the wind warning issued yesterday for the county which comes into effect from 1am on Sunday to noon later that day.

Southeast winds veering northwest are expected to reach mean wind speeds of 55 to 65 km/h with gusts of 90 to 110km/h for a time early on Sunday, particularly in coastal regions and about high ground.

Meanwhile the Rainfall Warning will see heavy rain overnight, with some further outbreaks at times on Sunday. Total falls of 25 to 40 mm expected in Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and in coastal areas of Wexford and Waterford. The warning is in effect from 9pm on Saturday until Sunday at 11pm.
