Status Yellow Wind Warning For Ireland On Wednesday

A STATUS Yellow Wind warning will be in effect for the whole country from tomorrow afternoon.

The warning was previously issued for Kerry and four other counties, but Met Éireann extended it to the 26 counties this morning.

It will be valid from 12 noon on Wednesday to 7am on Thursday morning. It will become very windy from Wednesday afternoon through until Thursday morning.

Southwest winds, veering westerly will gust 90 to 110km/h generally, higher at times on hills and coasts in the south and west with a risk of some wave overtopping.

In Kerry, it will be wet and blustery for the rest of Tuesday. There will be heavy showers along with the strong winds on Wednesday. Showers will be less frequent on Thursday afternoon and the sun might even make an appearance.
