KERRY County Council has supplied the following update on the storm affecting the county as of 12noon today
• N70 road at Blackwater Bridge is partially blocked
• Tree resting on power line at Kilmurry Road, Kenmare
• Tree down at Dromoughty Road, Kenmare
• Tree down at Over the Water, Caherciveen
• Multiple trees down on the Killorglin-Beaufort road
• Tree down on the Ross Road in Killarney
• Tree down at Tiernaboul, Killarney near Post Office
• Reports of wires down in a number of locations in greater Killarney area
We’ve also received a report that there is a tree blocking the road between Rathmore and Barradubh on the Rathmore side.
As of noon the winds are picking up considerably in the Tralee area, but note that Met Eireann says the strongest winds are set to hit Kerry during the afternoon.
