Suicide Awareness Vigil To Take Place In Town Next Month

AN event to mark World Suicide Day will be held for the fifth year in a row in Tralee on September 10, to remember those lost to suicide.

Organised by Tralee resident and mental health issues campaigner, Gerard Collins, a candlelight vigil will be held in Pearse Park at 10pm.

People will gather to remember those lost to suicide in town and beyond, to let people know that help is there for those feeling depressed and that they are not alone.

People are asked to bring a candle but some will be supplied on the night. Local musician Seamus Harty will also sing at the event. All are invited to come.
