ST Vincent de Paul Tralee received a welcome boost this week when it benefitted from a raffle run by an Irish company.

Timberkitbuildings.ie is an online company selling flatpack log cabins, sheds, garden furniture and much more, with showrooms in Dublin and Donegal.

They are running a weekly online raffle where the winner will receive one of their wide range of products. A different charity receives the proceeds from the raffle every week.

The raffle has been going on for the past number of weeks but this is the first time a Kerry charity has benefitted. Caroline McCarthy of Timberkitbuildings.ie, who is based in Kerry, was on hand to deliver the cheque on Thursday morning.

“It’s such a good cause and so many people need the help of St Vincent de Paul, especially coming up to Christmas, so we were so glad to be able to do something for them,” said Caroline.

Junior Locke of St Vincent de Paul said; “We’re delighted we were the chosen charity a this year alone it’s been very difficult with our shops closed, church collections postponed and fundraisers cancelled. This will help a lot.”
