Ballygarry Estate Celebrates Being Ranked In Top 10 Hotels In Ireland

The team at Ballygarry Estate And Spa celebrate their Top 10 ranking.

BALLYGARRY Estate Hotel and Spa has been ranked in the Top 10 hotels in Ireland 2024 on the most recent TripAdvisor’s Travellers Choice Awards.

The famous hotel and spa was ranked at number 9, joining fellow Kerry hoteliers Muckross Park Hotel and The Killarney Park Hotel on the prestigious Top 10 listing.

The annual Travellers’ Choice Awards are eagerly awaited each year by the hospitality industry owing to the fact that they are determined based on millions of reviews and opinions collected globally on TripAdvisor over the past year.

Tralee Hotels Make Best Of The Best Tripadvisor List

TRALEE hotels feature prominently is the latest Tripadvisor list of Travellors Choice, ‘Best of the Best’ Hotels in Ireland.

The Meadowlands Hotel is at No.6, Ballygarry Estate at No.10 and Manor West Hotel at No.11. Other Kerry hotels to feature in the Top 25 list are the Muckross Park Hotel and Spa, at No.4, The Killarney Park at No.8, The International Hotel Killarney at No.13, Earls Court House at No.15.

The Meadowlands Hotel posted their delight on their Facebook page earlier today. “We are so excited to receive the news that we ranked No. 6 in Trip Advisor’s Traveller’s Choice Awards 2023,” it reads.

Ballygarry And Rose Hotels Make Tripadvisor Top Hotels In Ireland 2020 List

TWO Tralee hotels made the Top 25 list in the Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Awards announced yesterday.

The four-star Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa made No.5 on the list out of 950 in Ireland, ahead of many five star hotels. The Rose Hotel made No.15 on the list.

The Travellers’ Choice Awards are determined based on “the quality and quantity of the millions of reviews, opinions and ratings collected on Tripadvisor in 2019, prior to the pandemic.

Kerry was well-represented on the list with The Killarney Park at N0.2, The Lake Hotel at N0.6, The Brehon Hotel at No.9, Cahernane House at No.11, Muckross Park Hotel at No.16 and the Victoria House Hotel at No.18. Harvey’s Point in Donegal was named Ireland’s No.1 hotel for the seventh time in eight years.

Also, Ballyseede Castle Hotel was at No.19 in Best Small Hotels, in the Best Service Category Ballygarry was at No.9, Ballyroe Heights Hotel at No.13 and The Grand Hotel at No.20. Ballyroe was at No.2 in Best Bargain Hotels.  Barrow House came 16th in the B&Bs and Inns category.

Four Tralee Hotels Make Tripadvisor’s Top 25 In Ireland Travellers Choice Awards

FOUR Tralee hotels have made the Irish Top 25 in the latest Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Awards.

In all, nine hotels from Kerry made the list which was topped by Harvey’s Point in Donegal.

Ballygarry House Hotel made the Top 1o coming in ninth position. The Manor West Hotel was in 16th position, with The Rose Hotel in 22nd and The Meadowlands Hotel in 23rd.

Manor West Hotel came 12th in the Best Hotels for Service category with Ballygarry in 25th. Meanwhile, Ballyseede Castle Hotel was 17th in the Small Hotels category.

Killarney had five hotels in the Top 25 with the Killarney Park highest in second place. The International Hotel was in 6th, Cahernane House 17th, The Brehon 20th and The Lake Hotel 21st. Dingle’s Pax Guesthouse was top in two categories; Best Bargain Hotel and Best Service.

The rankings are determined based on millions of reviews and opinions collected globally on TripAdvisor over the past year. Tralee Hotels Feature In TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Awards 2018

THREE Tralee hotels have featured in the TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Awards 2018 announced this week.

Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa has been listed  at No.5 in the Best Hotels in Ireland category with Manor West Hotel at No.24. The Ashe Hotel was listed at N0.10 in the Best Bargain category.

Ballygarry also came out as the top four-star hotel in Kerry, beating many five-star hotels in the county in the Best Hotel category. The Killarney Park Hotel was the big winner at the No.1 spot for Best Hotel, Best Luxury Hotel and Best Hotel For Service in Ireland.

Beautiful Banna Tops Tripadvisor’s Irish Beach List

THAT was a bit of a jump in the ratings.

Banna Beach has jumped to the top spot in the latest TripAdvisor Top 10 Beaches in Ireland Travellers Choice List.

The beach came seventh in 2016 and sixth the year before, but this year it gained the top spot and no wonder as it’s a spectacular long stretch of strand.

Derrynane came was third on the list while Inch was one behind in fourth and Coumeenoole in Dingle was sixth making four entries in the top ten. No surprises there as we’re truly blessed in the county.

Ballyroe and Ballygarry Hotels Feature In TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Lists

TWO Tralee hotels were featured in the TripAdvisor 2017 Travellers Choice Hotel Awards announced today.

Killarney and Dingle businesses dominated most of the categories, but there were mentions for our local hotels.

Ballygarry House Hotel came in 22nd place in the Best Hotels In Ireland category, where seven Killarney hotels featured with the Killarney Park coming highest for Kerry in fourth place.

In the Bargain Hotels category, Ballyroe Heights Hotel came in seventh place with Castlewood House in Dingle at No.1 and The Bianconi in Killorglin in eighth.

Ballyroe also came in 23rd in Best Service category, which featured 10 Kerry establishments in the top 25. Six hotels in the Top 25 Best Luxury Hotels category were in the Killarney area.

There were eight Kerry businesses in the Top 25 Hotels For Romance – Castlewood House again was No.1 – and 10 in the Top 25 B&Bs and Inns. Again, Killarney and Dingle dominate the list. To see the full list of winners in all the categories click here

Tripadvisor Has Named The Top 10 Beaches In Ireland. Here’s The Kerry Ones That Made It…

AS if we didn’t know already, we’re blessed here in Kerry with our beaches, especially close to Tralee.

Now Tripadvisor has released the Top 10 beaches in Ireland and Kerry has no less than four entries with one within 15 minutes of town.

Our beloved Banna comes in at No.6 while the highest rated local one is Derrynane at No.2. Inch Beach is just behind it at N0.3 and Rossbeigh is just ahead of Banna at No.5.

It’s an improvement of one place for Banna, as last year it was at No.7 on the list. West Cork’s Inchydoney is the top beach in Ireland for 2016. It’s great to see so many Kerry beaches there, but wouldn’t it be even better if we had a chance to use them a bit this year!

A TRALEE hotel has been named in the Top Ten hotels in Ireland in the 2016 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice awards.

Ballygarry House Hotel came in tenth position with the only other Kerry hotel in the top 10, The Brehon, one place above them in ninth. Ballygarry also finished 16th in the Best Service category.

Killarney Hotels featured prominently in the Top 25 with The Muckross Hotel and Spa (14), the Killarney Park (15), The Lake Hotel (16), The International Hotel (17) and The Dunloe in Beaufort in 19th position.

Dingle’s Castlewood House was the big Kerry winner named as No.1 in Ireland in the Small Hotel, Best Service and Bargain categories, while it was 13th in the world in the Best Small Hotel category, and 20th in the world in the Bargain category.

Foss’s Lough Lein Country House was 2nd in the Irish Small Hotels category, Heaton’s of Dingle in 4th, The Ross in Killarney in 7th, Brook Lane in Kenmare 8th, the Killarney Royal in 18th, The Fairview Killarney in 21st and Brook Lodge Killarney in 24th.

Heaton’s of Dingle was 2nd in the Bargain category with the River Island Hotel in Castleisland in 14th.

In the Luxury category, The Dunloe Hotel was 4th, The Europe Hotel & Resort in Killarney 8th, the Killarney Park 9th, The Fairview Killarney 12th, the Muckross Hotel and Spa in 17th, Aghadoe Heights Hotel in 21st and Sheen Falls Lodge in 24th.

Kerry hotels dominate the Best Service category too with six in the Top 10 – Castlewood House (1), Lough Lein Country House (2), Killeen House (3), Heaton’s Dingle (4), The Ross (6), The Dunloe (8) while in featuring in the Top 25 were Ballygarry House Hotel (16), the Killarney Park (21).

In the B&Bs and Inns category, Friar’s Glen in Killarney took second place, the 19th Lodge in Ballybunion was 4th, the Forest Of The Roses and Browne’s Bed and Breakfast in Dingle were 6th and 7th respectively, Tides B&B in Ballybunion was 13th, Burke’s Mulber House in Killarney was 20th and QC’s in Cahersiveen in 24th.

Tripadvisor Flags To Fly Proudly In Tralee

TRALEE has received the flags from TripAdvisor confirming Kerry’s capital town as one of Ireland’s top 10 towns based on ratings and reviews in the Annual Travellers’ Choice Awards.

The flags will be proudly flown above Kerry County Museum in the Ashe Memorial Hall in the town centre, at the Tralee Bay Wetlands and at the Aqua Dome for all to see.

One of the flags will be displayed to over 100,000 people at the Tralee Stand at next week’s National Ploughing Championships in Co Laois.

Earlier this year, Tralee featured in the list of Ireland’s Top 10 Towns in the Annual Travellers’ Choice Awards.

The reviews were gathered over a twelve month period and in its description of Tralee, the TripAdvisor website said: “Slip into a Tralee pub on any unassuming evening and you’ll likely be treated to a lively session of traditional music: fiddlers and guitarists and bearded lads sipping on pints and jamming on festive old tunes.”

The President of Tralee Chamber Alliance, John Drummey, said: “We are one of Ireland’s Top 10 Towns according to reviews on TripAdvisor, the recent Fáilte Ireland Tourism Town Awards and the Irish Business Against Litter Survey. Such achievements would not be possible without the efforts of our members who work tirelessly year-round throughout the hospitality sector – accommodation, dining, pubs and attractions. The support of Kerry County Council and various volunteer groups has also contributed to recent success stories. It’s great to be in the Top 10 but we want to be the best and we need everyone in Tralee to aspire to that goal. Tralee has always had the potential to be a top tourist town and now that potential has started to receive recognition.”

Tralee’s TripAdvisor Flag will be on display to 100s of thousands of people at the National Ploughing Championships in Co Laois next week when Tralee Chamber Alliance will promote the town as the ideal weather-proof destination for a holiday or short break.

The profile of the Tralee Stand at the National Ploughing Championships will be enhanced by a visit from the 2015 Rose of Tralee, Elysha Brennan and the Rose Escort of the Year, Tralee-native Shane Kenny.

Tralee has made the Top Ten destinations to visit in Ireland.

TRALEE has been named in TripAdvisor’s ‘Top Ten’ destinations to visit in Ireland according to the annual Travellers’ Choice Awards.

Tralee came in at No.10 with both Killarney and Dingle making their way into the top three on the list.

Killarney usurped Dublin to take the No.1 Irish destination with Dingle in third place.

The winners are chosen using a series of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions in the areas which are gathered over a 12 month period.

Banna Named Among Top Ten Beaches In Ireland On Tripadvisor

IN news that will come as no surprise to Tralee people, Banna Strand has been named amongst the top ten beaches to visit in Ireland.

The beautiful strand, which came seventh in the ratings by TripAdvisor’s online reviewers, is amongst four Kerry beaches named in the prestigious list.

The strand which offers stunning views of the Dingle Peninsula mountains to the south west, remains a firm favorite amongst locals for taking walks on the warm summer days.

Other Kerry beaches that featured on the list were Derrynane in Caherdaniel which placed second, Inch Beach which finished in the highly respectable third place and finally, Rossbeigh Beach which took home fifth place.

Inchydoney Beach was named the best beach in the country for the second year in a row.

BALLYGARRY House Hotel has been named in the Top 5 Hotels in Ireland in  the annual Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2015.

The Tralee hotel came in at No.5 in the list which was topped by Harvey’s Point in Donegal.

There were no fewer than six other Kerry hotels listed in the Top 25, including  The Killarney Park Hotel (N0.4), The Dunloe, Beaufort (N0.7), the International Hotel, Killarney (N0.10), the Lake Hotel, Killarney (N0.14), The Brehon, Killarney (N0.20), The Europe Hotel and Resort (No.22).

In other categories, Dingle’s Castlewood House topped three lists – small, romantic and bargain hotels.

Now in their 13th year, the Travellers’ Choice Awards honour TripAdvisor’s most outstanding properties in categories including hotels, B&Bs, family, luxury, romance and small hotels.

Award winners are determined “based on the millions of reviews and opinions collected in a single year from TripAdvisor travellers worldwide,” it says.
