Tankers To Supply Water To Public Until Around 10pm Tonight

TANKERS, at various locations around the Tralee area and beyond, will supply water until tonight at approximately 10pm, according to information from Cllr Mikey Sheehy, who has been in touch with Kerry County Council services.

The disruption to thousands of homes and businesses continues this evening. While the water mains was repaired earlier this morning, the Council is proceeding cautiously in turning on the supply in affected areas.

Earlier today, tankers were deployed to O’Donnells in Mounthawk, the Brandon Car Park (already in place), Our Lady and St Brendans Church and Manor Shopping Centre, where people could fill containers.

There were also tankers in the Clogher Churchyard Ballymacelligott, Firies Churchyard, Abbeydorney village, the Rock Road in Killarney, Cordal Graveyard and Barraduff Community Centre.

Small IBC tanks were being deployed to the following locations also;
• Tralee Sports Complex
• Near The Munster Bar, Ballymullen
• Cloghers pump station near LIDL
• Na Gaeil GAA CLUB
• Caheranne estate, Strand Rd
• The Spa GAA club
• The Tankard, Kilfenora
