KERRY County Council has reported that from January 1, films shot in Kerry benefit from an additional 5% tax relief on top of the 32% already available via Sec 481 funding.
This incentive provides a significant financial return for investors while providing valuable financial support for film projects in the area.
Sec 481 tax relief is guaranteed until the end of 2024. The additional 5% is in place for 2019 & 2020 (becoming a rate of 3% in 2021 and 2% in 2022).

The Council hopes that this incentive will enable many more filmmakers to shoot their films in the stunning surroundings of County Kerry.
