‘Team Bramble’ out and about for the ‘National Spring Clean’ campaign.

A LOCAL group is gathering up as many volunteers as possible as they look to get behind a national campaign to clean up areas all around the country.

‘Team Bramble’  is working in co-operation with Tralee Chamber Alliance as they get behind ‘An Taisce’s National Spring Clean’ (NSC) that is happening around the country throughout the month of April.

The team is asking groups, organisations, businesses, schools, clubs and individuals to try and organise a clean up in their area during the month.

They will be hosting a local clean up here on Saturday April 18 in various locations around the town if anyone would like to be involved.

They are asking that you contact them at their email (goteambramble@gmail.com) or contact Joan for further details on how to register your own clean-up event on 086-8310991. Litter pickers, bags and gloves will be provided for the volunteers.

The NSC is Ireland’s largest and most popular anti-litter initiative and one that encourages every sector of society to get out and take part in and and take responsibility for the environment, by organising clean-ups in their own local areas.

It takes place annually throughout the month of April with the aim of raising awareness of litter in the local areas and everyone is being strongly encouraged to to do their own little bit in keeping Kerry clean.
