Teams To Do Battle At Easter Sunday Soccer Blitz For Charity

TEAMS from supermarkets, the hospital and the Gardaí will take to the astroturf up in the North Campus of IT Tralee on Easter Sunday for the second annual Turner’s Bar Invitational Cup.

There will be ten teams in all taking part with a women’s tournament also taking place. It’s all in aid of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland.

The seven teams in the men’s competitions are four from Dunnes Stores (Horan Centre and NCR), University Hospital Kerry, Aldi and the gardaí.

The women’s teams are from Dunnes Stores Horan Centre, Dunnes Stores NCR and Aldi.

The tournament takes place between 10am and 2pm and there will be a collection for the charity during the games from spectators, who are encouraged to attend to cheer on the lads and ladies. There will be an afterparty in Turner’s Bar on Castle Street afterwards.
