THE proceeds from an event at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium were handed over at St Brendan’s NS in Blennerville today.

Their night at the dogs raised much needed funds to provide sports equipment and library facilities for the school and it was a huge success with the community turning out in force for a great night’s entertainment two weeks ago.

A cheque for €33,869 was handed over by Declan Dowling, Sales & Operations Manager of Kingdom Greyhound Stadium at the school today.

The school wished to thank the hard work and organisation of the Race committee, Parents Association and school staff along with the generosity of the advertisers, parents and sponsors of prizes and especially to Nora Corridon and Denise Shanahan who put in trojan work in the weeks leading up to the event. Well done all!
