TESCO staff in Tralee and around the country are dressing up to help raise awareness and funds for CHI at Temple Street this Halloween.

They are planning to keep spirits high for shoppers for the annual ‘Trick or Treat for Temple Street’ which runs from Monday, October 26 to November 1.

Customers won’t see the usual cake sales, face-painting and balloons in-store due to the safety guidelines around Covid-19, but Tesco colleagues will bring the fun as they dress up and call on customers to help support CHI at Temple Street.

Tesco customers can choose to donate €1 at the till or at the checkout online, with 100% of the funds raised going to support the little heroes in CHI at Temple Street.

The target for this year’s Trick or Treat for Temple Street is to raise funds which will go towards a new CT Scanner costing €1.2 million for the children’s hospital. In August, customers and colleagues raised an amazing €170,000 which started the fundraising for the scanner.

In February this year, Tesco announced it had reached a monumental milestone, having raised €5 million over the course of the five-year partnership with CHI at Temple Street. During the partnership, the funds raised helped the hospital to purchase over 270 pieces of vital medical equipment.
