Tickets Selling Fast To See GAA Stars Take Part In ‘The Kube’

Kerry GAA stars Barry John Keane, Aidan O’Mahony and Marc O Se are joined by CBS students, Denis and John Moriarty of Moriarty Civil Engineering and Principal Anne O’Callaghan and JP Brick launching The Kube.

THERE’S just days to go now until GAA stars do battle in The Kube.

Tickets are selling fast for the Tralee CBS The Green fundraiser, which will see GAA stars James O’Donoghue, Kieran Donaghy, Colm Cooper, Alan Brogan and many more take part.

Brothers, John and Denis Moriarty of Moriarty Civil Engineering Contractors, both past pupils of “The Green” are honoured to be associated with The Kube as sponsors along with Lee Strand Protein+ Milk which takes place in the Conference Centre at the Brandon Hotel on Wednesday night, March 16 at 7:30pm.

John and Denis left the Green in 1986 and 1988 respectively and went on to study Civil Engineering in Cork.

Speaking at the launch, John and Denis said that they were delighted to give something back to their old Alma Mater, and that they hoped that the Green will go from strength to strength both in sports and academia.

Thirty-six contestants will battle it out on the night to win €2,000 for their designated charity.

Ex-Dublin star, Alan Brogan, who has strong Kerry connections, will find himself outnumbered on the night by a host of players on the current Kerry panel – James O’Donoghue, Kieran Donaghy, Colm Cooper, Aidan O’Mahony, Marc Ó Sé, Alan Brogan, Barry John Keane, Tomas Ó Sé, Darran O’Sullivan, Donnchadh Walsh and Tommy Walsh.

Representing the Kerry hurlers will be last year’s Christy Ring winning captain, John ‘Tweek’ Griffin.

The event promises to be a great night with local GAA clubs, Na Gaeil, Austin Stacks, Kerins O Rahilly’s, John Mitchells, as well as St Brendan’s Basketball and Tralee Rugby Club will also be represented in The Kube. Also taking part are students and teachers along with Radio Kerry’s Elaine Kinsella and Andrew Morrissey.

Tickets priced Adults €15 and Students €10 can be purchased at the following outlets: Nolan’s Garage, NCR, Tralee, The Grand Hotel, Claude Montes, Foley’s Spar, Castlemaine Road, Tralee, Terry’s Butchers, Oakpark, Tralee, EF Signs, Monavalley, Tralee and are also available in reception in CBS, The Green.
