There Are Now 85 Confirmed Coronavirus Cases In Kerry

THERE are now 85 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Kerry, up one from yesterday.

Also, by Saturday there were three people in the Critical Care Unit in University Hospital Kerry.

By 8pm on Saturday evening, the number of people with COVID-19 admitted to the hospital was 14 with three more cases confirmed in the 24 hours up to 8pm on Saturday and 24 suspected cases awaiting results.

Meanwhile, the national figures were revealed at the daily briefing from the Department of Health this evening.

21 more people have died from the Coronavirus in Ireland.  This brings the total of people who have died after contracting COVID-19 to 158.

An additional 390 people have tested positive for the virus in the Republic of Ireland, bringing the total to 4,994.

Kerry has the tenth most cases in the country after Dublin (2,490), Cork (343), Kildare (152), Wicklow (132), Limerick (128), Tipperary (118), Galway (108), Meath (106) and Westmeath (94). The Department’s Covid-19 information dashboard can be accessed by clicking here.
