Looking forward to the ‘Mingle On The Mall’ this Saturday.

TO celebrate the re-opening of The Mall and the completion of significant enhancement works in Tralee Town centre over the past year, Kerry County Council, Tralee Chamber Alliance and Tralee town centre traders have organised a street party and fun day which will take place on Saturday next, January 20.

The ‘Mingle on the Mall’ is aimed at showcasing the brand new Tralee town centre and will include an exciting programme of free, family-oriented events and entertainment for all ages.

From 2pm to 5pm on Saturday, there will be a party atmosphere on the new look Mall and local businesses will be providing special offers to shoppers during the afternoon.

Business owners and their teams will be taking part in a fun ‘Street Triathlon’ with Lip Syncing, Cappuccino Races and Chip ‘N’ Dip fun races. Meanwhile, teams of families or friends can register with the #LoveTralee volunteers for a Scavenger Hunt, with the support of town centre businesses, with lots of amazing prizes to be won for the fastest, funniest, friendliest, and fanciest dressed groups.

“Now that the works in Tralee town centre have been completed, we are inviting people to come along to a day of fun and entertainment to celebrate the newly upgraded town centre,’ said Mayor of Tralee, Cllr Norma Foley. ‘The Mall and Denny Street now look exceptionally well and the part-pedestrianisation of The Mall is proving to be very popular. This celebration promises to be a very enjoyable day for everyone.’

Aidan Kelly, President of Tralee Chamber Alliance said: “This is a great opportunity for anyone who hasn’t yet visited Tralee town centre to visit on Saturday and enjoy the wonderful ambience and great quality shops. It’s a good opportunity to shop local and support local businesses at the beginning of 2018.”

There will be further updates on @countykerry/@TraleeAlliance and on Facebook.
