Thieves Knock Through Wall To Steal Safe At Tralee Business

A SAFE with a sum of cash was stolen from a business in Monavalley Industrial Estate after thieves knocked through a wall to gain entry.

The incident took place between 7pm on Saturday, June 15 and 10am on Sunday, June 16. Gardai believe heavy equipment, possibly a kango hammer, must have been used to knock the wall.

They are asking if anyone was in the area at the time and heard something to contact them at Tralee Garda Station. They say any information where they can narrow down the timeframe of the burglary would be a significant help in their investigation.

Meanwhile gardai in Tralee are investigating two other burglaries which took place in the past week.

Between 8pm on Monday, June 10 and 8am on Tuesday, June 11, people entered a premises on the Listowel Road just outside Tralee and stole a quantity of copper wiring and tools.

Also, a business in the Mart was broken into 1.35am and 2am on Friday, June 14. The suspect was driving what gardai believe was an Opel Zafira. CCTV footage shows the person looking around the premises and eventually stole a quantity of cash from a safe.If
