The West Kerry man fronts the band as singer/guitarist and chief songwriter. “We are trying to get all our fans going while making some new ones,” said Vinnie.

“We are extremely excited to play at the Picnic this year as we have all worked hard and take our music very seriously. We played at home in Annascaul at the start of August supporting Hermitage Green for the annual Annascaul Beerfest in aid of Down Syndrome Kerry.”

“The support from home was amazing and even a crowd followed us up to Dublin a week later for our EP release for our new CD ‘A Silent Companion’,” he said.

The three other members of the band, all from Dublin are James Young, Dan Smith and Dave Mcleery.

Red Moon Bayonets have also played Vantastival and the Canalaphonic festival earlier this summer and currently have a track being pitched to American TV. They will also on Two Tube for Rte television late September for an interview and a live song.

“We really wouldn’t have been able to make our current CD without our fans/friends and family as they funded our kick starter campaign to record at Dublins westlands studios earlier this year” said Vinnie.
