Action from last year’s Kingdom County Fair.
THE organisers are prepared for another huge crowd at the Kingdom County Fair this weekend.
Celebrating its 66th year with over €50,000 in prize money and trophies the fair takes place this Sunday at Ballybeggan Racecourse, Tralee.
Showcasing the best of family entertainment, it will be a family-oriented day with a Mobile Animal Farm, Live Music, Baby Show, Bouncy Castles, Slides, Land Zorbing, Water Walker Activity, which includes a large inflatable pool and Caterpillar Crawl.

The Tralee Chamber Alliance will be promoting tourist attractions etc with entertainment and draws throughout the day at their marquee.
A fun dog show is also a highlight and entries are taken on the day. The Hilarious Donkey Derby and Terrier racing.
Vintage machinery is a very popular event and of course they will have Olde Time Threshing with Billy Mason and Farrier display.
There will be Home Crafts, Homebaking, with a qualifier for Tullamore Show. Horticulture and local produce again are very popular and a lot of school children get in on the act.
There will be a Food Hall and Craft Fair, a spin-off from Country Markets as people are gone back to basics and to that kind of home industry.
The outdoor Industrial section will once more offer a wide range of interesting trade stands.
Considered one of the county’s landmark events it showcases the best that Kerry and beyond has to offer in terms of Livestock i.e Cattle – Dairy and Beef and of course there will be showjumping, with A Munster Grand Prix and 3 Pony Grand Prix with prize fund of €6,000.
This major event has been re-organised this year to make it viewable from the Grandstand, which will make it more enjoyable for spectators.

Judging of Poultry Classes – with Buy & Sell
12.30pm – Vintage Machinery Display; Olde Time Threshing, Farrier
