Ryan Leonard, Cian Sullivan and Kieran Donaghy have been named on the Irish basketball squad.

THE success of Garvey’s Tralee Warriors has not gone unnoticed this season, with two of their players making the Irish basketball squad.

Kieran Donaghy and Ryan Leonard are among the 20 players named in head coach Pete Strickland’s squad.

There are eight of the 12 Men’s Super League teams  represented on the squad which also includes another Tralee man, Cian Sullivan, who plays his basketball over in La Salle University in Philadelphia.

The former Mercy Mounthawk student went to the US on a scholarship in 2015 and is currently starring for the university’s Explorers team.
