The new Tidy Towns Monthly Business Awards scheme was launched last month by Tralee Chamber Alliance in association with Tralee Tidy Towns Group to help get Tralee into the best possible shape for success in this year’s competition.

Speaking about McDonalds, Gillian Wharton said: “Their shrubbery looked really well and the daffodils were beginning to bud. There was absolutely no litter there. This business has made a huge effort to keep their business and the area around it clean,” she said.

About Connollys Jewellers, Gillian said: “We chose a business which always looks really well. Their window displays are always lovely, their frontage is spotless and staff are regularly seen cleaning out in front,” she said.
