TLI Group employees were out mountain climbing recently raising much needed funds for a children’s hospital.

The group of 19 workers from the Abbeydorney-based company, climbed Carrauntoohil in aid of Temple Street on Saturday, August 27 and raised over €6,000.

At the beginning of the year, the staff of TLI Group voted Temple Street to be one of the company’s chosen charities to support throughout 2016.

So this year in addition to the company’s charitable donations of €10,000 at the start of the year, their employees have held a bake sale and taken part in the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon which raised €1,270.

In an effort to raise additional funds the team of intrepid employees, all of varying abilities, decided to scale Carrauntoohil in aid of the charity.

The team’s climb has so far raised in excess of €6,000 with funds still pouring in. The group was joined on the day by the very experienced guides from Kerry Climbing, Piaris, Gerry and Keith.

Good deeds seem to be second nature to TLI employees. Just two weeks ago they were featured in a story on TraleeToday.ie when they rescued a horse from a muddy ditch.
