It was a fun way to stay connected with colleagues while boosting fitness, and in turn contributing to an overall improvement in staff wellbeing.  Safety and Health are core company values within TLI Group and the virtual walking challenge fitted in perfectly with the company’s employee wellbeing strategy.

The chosen charities were Pieta House, Cork Penny Dinners and Limerick Suicide Watch. The Cork and Limerick charities were selected as the Smart Metering team have been installing electricity meters on behalf of ESB Networks in those two regions.

For the month of February, the group walked over 5,000 km’s and raised €2,277, which TLI Group kindly matched, giving a grand total of €4,554.

All participants sent in pictures of themselves out and about with their families whilst observing the 5km travel limit.  There was great participation and engagement during the challenge, and plenty of fun was had, especially at a time when we all need something to smile about.
