Top Rotarian Tells Tralee Members Of Good Work Being Done Internationally

Aidan Kelly President Tralee Chamber Alliance and Rotarian, Garth Arnold District Governor Rotary Ireland , David Slattery Rotarian, Graham Borley President Tralee Rotary Club and Pierce Wall President Elect Tralee Rotary Club pictured on Tuesday at the Imperial Hotel.

THE District Governor of Rotary Ireland Garth Arnold was in Tralee on Tuesday where he met local Rotary Club members.

He was present at The Imperial Hotel to let them know of the great work being done internationally by Rotarian’s to eradicate Polio.

President of  Tralee Chamber Alliance and Rotarian, Aidan Kelly welcomed Mr Arnold and the club was delighted he took time to visit.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Rotary International will spend nearly half a billion dollars in an effort to eliminate the disease over the next three years.

The Gates Foundation will match Rotary’s commitment to raise $50 million a year over the next three years, two-to-one. That means another $450 million could go to eradicating the disease by 2020.
